Our Website Cookies Policy

Evernden Cycles Privacy and Fair Processing Notice.

Evernden Cycles is committed to respecting your privacy and take its responsibility very seriously. You can visit Evernden Cycles website without revealing any information about yourself, but we do collect information regarding visitors to our website.

We only use your information for our legitimate business use and do not sell it on to any other company.

If you proceed to order an item, then your details will be collected from you and held on our database with your consent. The same details will be collected when you make an in-store purchase or book in a repair job. These include your billing information including your name, address, telephone number and email address. Also held is your purchase history with payment type, and details of any workshop jobs completed.

We need to hold your purchase history in case of any future product recalls, warranty issues and to be able to re-issue lost receipts if your cycle is stolen. For workshop jobs, we need to be able to contact you once the repair/service is completed, or if we have any queries relating to the job. In addition, collated purchase histories are used to identify consumer trends. The workshop history is essential for any back-up and warranty issues, or for queries on any work undertaken.

Evernden Cycles may need to provide your name and address to third parties that are involved in the processing of your order for example the financial institution that issued your credit/debit card or the courier that delivers your order. Your information will not be shared with individuals, other companies such as direct mail organisations or other third parties unless required by law.

You can help Evernden Cycles update and maintain the accuracy of any information you supply by notifying us of any changes to your address, title, telephone numbers or email address.

By providing your email address you will be added to our customer rewards scheme, this database holds your name, postcode, email address and the number of points collected.  This scheme will send you regular emails to tell you how much your reward points are worth. You may opt out of these emails by contacting us.

We have CCTV cameras in store which may hold your image. This is only reviewed for security purposes.

Our card processing is completed by third party companies who are fully PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant. We do not hold any of your card details.

Third parties who have access to your data include the IT company who hosts our RMS (computerised till) system, website and the customer reward website; and your address details will be given to delivery companies for on-line orders. If you purchase using finance, this is arranged on-line directly with the finance company and we have access to the basic loan application information held on their site.

There are times when we may request additional information. When we request additional information we will try to let you know at the time of collection how we intend to use the personal information you provide. We do our best to maintain the accuracy of any personal information you do supply to us.
