Tim Veysey-Smith is a Podiatrist with over 25 years experience in primary health care and has run successful private clinics in Surrey, South London and Kent. He is registered with the Health Professions Council, and is a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists with a diploma in Clinical Biomechanics.
In 2009 he completed a 2 year Masters degree in Sports Injuries at the University of Kent and has a particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of lower limb injuries affecting runners. He is also qualified in Advanced Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy, having studied this subject during his degree.
For the past 3 years he has worked with the charity Outward Bound treating competitors at the London Marathon. He has also delivered lectures at Kent University on Running Biomechanics.
A keen runner himself, he is a member of Paddock Wood Athletics club and competes in a number of local running events each year. In 2010 he completed the Inferno, a half marathon in the Swiss Alps which finishes at an altitude of around 10,000 feet!
Tim specializes in the diagnosis and management of disorders affecting the lower limb and can give advice and input on a number of sports related issues including footwear, prescription and fitting of orthotics, rehabilitation exercise and injury prevention.
He is also qualified as a general foot care practitioner and is happy to treat all common foot complaints, such as corns, calluses, verrucae, and nail conditions. |
